Regional Arts Fund Round 1 2010 Recipients announced

The Minister for the Arts, the Hon Peter Garrett AM MP, has announced that more than $140,000 will go to nine arts projects in regional and remote Queensland in the latest round of the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund. [more]

Junction 2010 - Regional Arts Australia national conference

Junction 2010 - connecting the future is the theme of the seventh Regional Arts Australia national conference, to be held in Launceston in August 2010. With over 1000 delegates expected to take part, Junction 2010 will bring together people from across Australian and international borders. It will involve leading thinkers and practitioners from the arts and other sectors exploring a range of questions, issues and ideas under the conference themes of Footprints, Threads, Resilience and Momentum. Help us continue to visit small, regional and remote schools in 2010!

Each year we bring live arts to hundreds of schools in regional and remote areas of the state, often with pupil numbers of less than 100 who would otherwise see no other touring educational performances.
