Tales my Mother Told Me...some views from the veranda
Ticket Prices: A Venue:$19 - $32 B Venue: $12 - 25 | |
| We all love a good story don’t we? It’s the way we learn, the way we pass on our histories and traditions, the way we pass time, the way we remember and the way we teach. It’s the way we acknowledge, warn, encourage and inspire. Three seasoned exponents of the one-person show will work with a team of regional performers, writers and directors under the guidance of Director, Marcus Hughes to create an astounding evening of stories told through spoken word, dance/movement, circus skills, ceremony, music, song and visual imaging, comedy, tragedy, drama and pathos.
Playing for Queensland 2007- Tales My Mother Told Me provides regional artists with the opportunity to explore the practicalities of performance-making from woe to go - with the artistic guidance and support of professional theatre-workers.
This tour is assisted by Arts Regional Touring Service (ARTS), a Queensland Government initiative.
Playing for Queensland 2007 - Tales My Mother Told Me is proudly supported by Statewide Partner, Xstrata through their Community Partnership Program in North Queensland. Xstrata are the Local Partner for Mount Isa and Thuringowa.
